What
could be more astonishing than this imprisoned pear!
You may wonder how we were able to introduce the fruit
into the carafe. In fact the carafe was affixed to the
branch of a pear tree as the fruit was growing.
Do not throw the carafe away when it is empty; refill
it with Williams pear eau-de-vie and the fruit will last
for years. |
